Oak Park the 45-B District Court
Incorporated in 1945, the City of Oak Park is an inner suburb of Detroit and grew out of what was once known as Royal Oak Township. Oak Park spans 5.1 square miles and borders Huntington Woods, Southfield, Ferndale and Pleasant Ridge. Throughout the 1950’s, Oak Park greatly increased its population and was once named “America’s Fastest Growing City”.

The city plays host to the privately-owned window manufacturer, Weatherguard. Their offices are located on Eight Mile Road, and serve the Detroit metropolitan area. The City of Oak Park is situated near major highways and thoroughfares which makes it an important commuter suburb of Detroit.
