The City of Madison Heights, originally part of Royal Oak Township, became incorporated as a city in 1955. Madison Heights is located in Oakland County, has a population of approximately 30,000 residents and is 7.2 square miles. Madison Heights is situated with the City of Warren to the east and the City of Royal Oak to the south. Madison Heights gets its share of traffic with more than 112 miles of roads and I-75 running along the west side and I-696 on the south side.
Madison Heights is part of Oakland County Automation Alley and has approximately 1300 commercial and industrial businesses within its borders including: Commercial Steel Treating Corporation, Coca Cola, Hungry Howies, Meijers, Kmart, Sam’s Club and Costco.
